Fault Detection and Diagnosis

JS energy Team has dedicated a lot of development to the fault detection and diagnosis procedures in the early stage of a developing fault. The task of the fault detection is to alert an operator about a developing fault that is occurring on a system or component levels. By detecting a fault in an early stage, a system or a component errors, a system shut down or, in some cases, a potential catastrophic consequences can be prevented. Fault diagnosis follows after the fault detection by pointing out what type of problem is occurring in the system. By alerting an operator about a developing fault, proper measures can be taken in time. Fault detection and diagnosis thus have a positive impact on the system safety, maintenance, availability and, eventually, the system’s economics.

Application areas

JS energy Team has developed fault detection solutions that can be combined with fault diagnostics techniques. Common applications can be found in:

  • Gas turbines
  • Steam turbines
  • Compressors
  • Pumps
  • Internal combustion engines
  • Different types of system leakages
  • And more
